This page explains what happens to your personal information when you use sefsafi.com. It is short because I collect very little.

Who is responsible

What I collect, and why

When you use the contact form: your name, your email address, the subject, your message, and the date and time. Your IP address is stored with it as a basic anti-spam measure.

I use this for one thing: to reply to you and to keep a record of our conversation about your project. Nothing else.

When you simply browse: my hosting provider keeps standard server logs — IP address, browser, pages requested, timestamps. Those are generated by the server, not by me, and are used for security and to diagnose faults.

I do not collect anything you have not typed in yourself, I do not build a profile on you, and there is nothing on this site that follows you around the web.

Where it is stored

Messages are stored in a file on the site's own server that is not reachable from the web, and a copy is emailed to me. Both are protected by the hosting account's own security.

How long I keep it

• Enquiries that do not become projects: up to 12 months, then deleted
• Project correspondence: as long as the project runs, and up to 5 years afterwards, because I may need it for accounting or if a question comes up about the work
• Server logs: whatever my hosting provider's retention period is

You can ask me to delete your messages sooner. See below.

Payments

I never see your card details. When you pay, you pay through a payment provider on their own secure page. Your card number does not pass through this site and is never stored here. What I receive is confirmation that a payment succeeded, and the name and email on it.

The payment provider has its own privacy policy, which applies to what they hold.

Who else is involved

• My hosting provider — stores the site and its files
• My email provider — receives and stores messages sent from the form
• Google Fonts — the site loads its typefaces from Google's servers, so your browser makes a request to Google when the page opens
• The payment provider — handles payments, as above

I do not sell your data. I do not share it for advertising. I do not send marketing emails. If I ever add analytics or anything else that watches how the site is used, this page will say so before it goes live.

Cookies

This site sets one cookie, and only for me: a session cookie when I sign in to the admin panel. It does nothing on the public pages and it does not track visitors.

Your rights

You can ask me to:

• Tell you what I hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete it
• Stop using it

Email [email protected] and I will do it within 30 days. You do not need a reason.

Under Moroccan law 09-08 on the protection of personal data you may also contact the CNDP (Commission Nationale de contrôle de la protection des Données à caractère Personnel) if you think I have handled your data badly. I would rather you told me first.

Children

This site is not aimed at children and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be obvious on the page, not buried.
